In Malawi, reducing the space between the ridges and planting in 2 rows instead of 1 for soya and groundnut cropping contributes to significantly increase the productions. This document comes back on experiences developed with farmers, also referring to other studies conducted in Malawi. It includes technical elements on the practices, the quantity of seeds needed and the effects of these practices on the production yields. It also highlights certain limits and constraints to take into account.
